It’s National Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day, and while they may mean getting rid of expired and unused drugs, I’m taking it as a cue to share with you what’s in my medicine cabinet – like skin care and beauty products I’ve been influenced to buy or that I would like to share with you.
I’m trying to convert to clean beauty products. It’s a slow process and I’m not perfect, but I’m getting there.

Caudalie Divine Oil, similar
Take Back Control Oil-Controlling Mud Mask
Sailor by Captain Blankenship Smooth Sailing Gentle Resurfacing Mask
The Caudalie Divine Oil was given to me as a gift several years ago and I fell in love with it! I asked for this giant bottle for my birthday last year. I use it at night after my serum, before my moisturizer. Guess what? They discontinued it shortly after I received this bottle. Because of course they did.
I try to face mask a couple times a week and usually roll through a deep cleaning mud mask, resurfacing/exfoliating mask and a moisturizing mask. I don’t have a good one of those right now, so leave any suggestions in the comments! Both of these masks are meh. They do the job, but I never notice a huge difference after using them.
Second From Top Shelf
Target PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion (this is a dupe of the CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion)
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-In Milk Sunscreen Body & Face SPF 60
Aura Cacia Grapeseed Skin Care Oil
Weleda Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream
I’ve found the Target lotion to be a great dupe for the CeraVe version. I use the PM during the day, because there is sunscreen in the AM version, and I like to do my sunscreen separate. I need an SPF of 50 or higher, and most products only offer SPF 30.
I really like the La Roche-Posay sunscreen. It absorbs easily and it’s a nice size bottle. And it’s SPF 60.
I bought this grapeseed oil when I was out of Caudalie and on a budget. I occasionally slather this one on my face, but it’s odorless, and it kind of has a slight odor. It’s a cheap alternative if you want a clean beauty face oil.
I was influenced to buy the Weleda, and I did not like it at first. It has a botanical smell that’s not offensive, but weird. It’s also very sticky and hard to rub in. When I discovered the face oil/Weleda combination, it was amazing. I actually really like this! And it’s also great for dry hands.

Mario Badescu Skin Care Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water
Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Retinoid Eye Cream
ZoSkin Health Pigment Control + Brightening Cream, similar
Hey Humans Aloe Banana Deodorant
Found Active Rejuvenating Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
I never believed in toner except when I was 13 years old and it was Sea Breeze. My daughter gave me the Mario Badescu facial spray and I actually liked it. It’s nice to spritz on after a shower and sometimes I even use it during the day to pep up my skin. Whether it’s this brand or another, I highly recommend the facial spray.
I have been on the hunt for a good eye cream for years. YEARS. I finally found it in the Pacifica Wake Up Beautiful Retinoid Eye Cream.
The ZoSkin was recommended by my plastic surgeon for the melasma I got from chemo. After I spent years trying to get rid of the melasma I got from pregnancy. I didn’t think a cream would do anything, but she told me this one would and she was right. The spots are still there, but much lighter than before.
I talked about the A313 Retinol Pommade in my newsletter. Have you subscribed to my newsletter? I started using it every other night and it tingled a lot. I didn’t have peeling or an adverse reaction so I moved onto nightly. It tingles less and I’ve noticed a real difference on my neck and hands.
Looking for a clean deodorant? Hey Humans Banana Aloe smells delicious. Like a vacation.
The Found Active Serum was a gift. I use it day and night. Can I actually say it’s working? I’m not sure. I’m almost out, so if I notice a considerable difference when I stop using it, I’ll add it back in and let you know.

Dental Floss
YWC Handmade Unscented Lip Balm
Napoleon Dynamite Lip Balm
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (Apple Lime), similar
The YWC lip balm was part of a gift set from a friend. I told her I needed something clean and she sent me this great gift from an Etsy shop. It included a rich body lotion that I loved, a cuticle cream {I just used it!}, a glycerin soap and the lip balm. It was the perfect gift!
Napoleon has been with me for years. I never use it, but it’s a holdover from my film publicist days and I haven’t been able to get rid of it. It’s iconic.
These sleep masks are quite the rage and I’ve gotten a few of them as gifts. I used it a couple times and honestly, didn’t get the hype. Then I decided to use it every night on a regular basis and I understood. Now I wake up {alone} with very soft lips.
I hope you liked this tour of my medicine cabinet! Let me know in the comments if you have any favorite beauty products or if you use something I must add to my repertoire. As my aesthetician says, “What are you doing Ange?” I rattle things off and she says, “Well, it’s working, keep doing it.”
xoxo
