I’m Angela. Formerly Smith, now Jones, returning to Smith. I’m a public relations and marketing specialist. I think of this blog as a magazine column. A place I share personal essays about my life. I hope I instill some pearls of wisdom in my work, mixed in amongst the honesty and the humor.
I’m the wildly independent middle child, the black sheep who left home to live on both coasts, and the only one in my family who doesn’t work in the banking industry. Instead, I’ve been lucky enough to work a major red carpet or two.
I live in Denver. It is my hometown and I love it. Being a Native Coloradan brings me all kinds of joy. I’m mom to a sassy, witty, smart, beautiful 12-year-old daughter who was born in L.A. That fact brings her all kinds of joy.
I’m a proud Gen Xer who loves the 1970’s, the 1980’s, pop culture, Madonna and the Denver Broncos.
I’m recently divorced and trying to navigate this new life. I can cuss like a sailor, so don’t be offended. People who cuss are extremely intelligent.
I believe in being a mental health advocate, so I write about my depression and anxiety. I have a shoe collection that rivals Carrie Bradshaw’s and I’ve forgotten to pick my daughter up from school. More than once…
Oh, and this one time, I was mentioned in the New York Times. Because I’m also funny.
xoxo Angela
