I’m so glad the 90’s are back in the fashion forefront. But, the hot item this fall is going to be a ribbed mock turtleneck and I’m not sure I can get behind that one again. Floral print, though, I’m all about it. While you’ll no longer catch me in a floral print dress and Doc Martens {I’ll save that for my daughter,} these days I would be more apt to pair a floral print dress with a flat sandal. Case in floral print point, this week for the Mechanic: Resurrection premiere in Hollywood, Jessica Alba in Dolce & Gabbana is floral print perfection. Nobody does a floral print dress like Dolce & Gabbana, that’s for sure, and nobody draws a floral print dress like my daughter, home skillet.
While I’m guessing you don’t have a use for this type of gown anytime soon, you can still get in on the trend with a similar look that fits your lifestyle. Plan a date night with your partner and enjoy a nice dinner and drinks with no kids! If you’re feeling all that and a bag of chips, which you will be in this dress, then maybe you can go out for some dancing afterwards.
Here’s how to get the look for less:
Floral Print Dress – This Yumi Kim Date Night Floral Print Dress is at Bloomingdale’s for $229. You can pair it with a flat sandal for a casual date, or a strappy heel for a more dressy affair.
Green Box Clutch – This Fantastic Blue Snake Effect Clutch Bag from Yoins.com is $25.95 and the perfect “pop” to go with the floral dress! And it has a chain, so when you hit the dance floor, it becomes a cross body bag. Pretty much a requirement for any bag these days, right?
I hope this provides some date night inspiration! Happy shopping!
